Bart Scott leads Jets media meltdown

The New York Jets won, and they handled it like the New York Jets

Following a 27-13 victory over the St. Louis Rams, Bart Scott of the New York Jets attempted to lead a media boycott in the winning team's locker room.

According to Bart Hubbuch, Scott was instructing defensive players to say nothing to the media except 'both teams played hard' in an effort to retaliate for reports in local media about the organization. This went one step further, as Scott began to 'threaten' players, per Hubbuch, including Bryan Thomas who he called a 'sellout' after speaking to reporters.

The criticism of the Jets for the entirety of Rex Ryan's tenure has been an inability for the players to show discipline, and behave professionally. Last week there was a conflict when a Yahoo! report came out that members of the Jets offense were calling for Tim Tebow to start over incumbent Mark Sanchez, which they in turn refuted.

Like last week’s flip on the Tebow report, so too has Bart Scott flipped on his own boycott. Moments ago Hubbuch reported that after seeing teammates disobey his orders, Scott fell in like and began talking to the media.
