The Chicago Bears have listed wide receiver Alshon Jeffery as active for Monday night's game against the San Francisco 49ers, indicating that the rookie will be making his return to the field after weeks on the sideline. Jeffery, Chicago's 2012 second-round pick, has been sitting out since Oct. 7 with a hand injury.

While many big names are sitting out of Monday night's contest, including both starting quarterbacks, most of these absences had been expected for days. From Jay Cutler and Alex Smith to Shea McClellin and Brandon Jacobs, a good number of the inactives for Monday's game are relatively unsurprising.

Beyond McClellin, the Bears' defense will also be without nickelback D.J. Moore, defensive tackle Matt Toeaina and defensive end Cheta Ozougwu. Moore has been dealing with a severe ankle sprain for over a week now, though he should be able to return somewhat soon.

In place of the two starting quarterbacks, the Bears will be starting Jason Campbell at QB while the 49ers hand the reins over to second-year pro Colin Kaepernick. Primarily a running quarterback, it'll be interesting to see whether Kaepernick can move the ball with any sort of efficiency against one of the game's great defenses.
