The NFL will leave the Week 13 game between the struggling Philadelphia Eagles and .500 Dallas Cowboys in a primetime slot on Dec. 2, rather than swapping it for a more palatable game.
Eagles-Cowboys will not be flexed in Week 13
The Week 13 matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles will remain in a primetime slot instead of being flexed out for a more attractive game by the NFL.

The NFC East game is a big rivalry, but the two teams have disappointed this season: After a 3-1 start, the Eagles have lost six straight, and are currently starting backup quarterback Nick Foles with running back LeSean McCoy possibly out with a concussion as well. The Cowboys also got off to a decent start with a win over the New York Giants, but were 3-5 before a pair of wins against the Eagles and lowly Cleveland Browns. The game was slated for the 8:20 Sunday night slot at the beginning of the year, but the league had the option to change that game for one played earlier that day.
The league has a flex option for the Sunday night games for more attractive earlier games. Games two weeks from now that might have been more interesting than the Cowboys-Eagles include Minnesota-Green Bay and Tampa Bay-Denver, both matchups of teams above .500. Pittsburgh and Baltimore also play Week 13, but they were just placed in the primetime slot this past weekend.
