The NFL will review the play in which Ndamukong Suh kicked Matt Schaub in the groin and Suh’s previous history will impact the level of discipline.

NFL executive vice president of football operations Ray Anderson said the league will consider Suh's history when reviewing the play. The NFL uses a system where repeat offenders receive increased punishment with each offense. Suh, who was suspended two games last season for stomping on the arm of a Green Bay Packers offensive lineman, could face severe punishment if the NFL deems his kick to Schaub intentional.
“Repeat offenders are going to run out of benefit of the doubt faster than someone who is a first-time offender,” Anderson said, according to ESPN.com. “If I were a judge in the courtroom, and you’re in for a third-time DUI, I’m going to look at that differently than if this is your first DUI -- even if you didn’t maim anybody.”
As for whether or not Suh is likely to face disciplinary action, Anderson said the play “didn’t look good” on initial television replays but said he would make a full review with additional replay angles. Anderson along with NFL executives Merton Hanks, Ronnie Hill and Joel Bussert will review the play.
