New York Giants running back Andre Brown is out for the season, while wide receivers DeSean Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles and Miles Austin of the Dallas Cowboys suffered injuries that could leave them sidelined.

Giants running back Andre Brown will miss the rest of his season after breaking his fibula. DeSean Jackson suffered a rib injury, while Miles Austin hurt his hip.

Brown broke his fibula late in the team's 38-10 win over the Green Bay Packers, with his left leg getting trapped under M.D. Jennings on a tackle and twisting awkwardly. The running back had been splitting carries with Ahmad Bradshaw, averaging 5.3 yards per attempt and leading the team with eight touchdowns. Although he's considered out for the season, the team added him to the recallable IR, meaning he will be eligible to return, if healthy, for the Super Bowl. His carries will now likely be split between Bradshaw and rookie David Wilson.
Right tackle David Diehl also left the game with a stinger, and is questionable for the team's game Sunday against the Washington Redskins.
Jackson is the latest Eagles skill player to go down after Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy both suffered concussions. The wide receiver left the team's 30-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers to receive X-rays on his chest and collarbone, and although no bones were broken, he apparently has a rib cartilage injury. He's questionable for the team's game Sunday against the Cowboys.
Austin hurt his hip in the first quarter of the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day game 38-31 loss to the Washington Redskins, and did not return. His status going forward is unclear, taking away from depth at a position that already was already missing Kevin Ogletree after a Week 11 concussion. The team has already signed Anthony Armstrong to fill in at the wide receiver spot.
The Cowboys were relatively hard hit by injuries in addition to Austin: starting linebacker Bruce Carter is out for the year after dislocating his left elbow, and cornerback Orlando Scandrick fractured his hand and is out indefinitely.
The main injury from the Washington Redskins was linebacker London Fletcher, who, for the second straight week, tweaked his ankle. Fletcher is considered questionable, but has played in 235 consecutive games, so expect him on the field Monday night against the Giants.
