Atlanta Falcons cornerback Asante Samuel has left the Falcons' Thursday night game against the New Orleans Saints with what appears to be a shoulder injury and is questionable to return to action.

Asante Samuel, who was questionable entering the Thursday night meeting with the Saints, has left the game with what appears to be a repeat injury to a shoulder.


Trainers were attending to Samuel on the sideline and examining his shoulder, according to the Falcons' official team Twitter just moments after the 31-year-old cornerback left the field.
Samuel left the game after Saints quarterback Drew Brees completed a long pass to Joe Morgan on the Saints' opening drive of the first quarter.
Samuel was questionable headed into the Thursday night meeting with the Saints due to the nagging shoulder injury. But right before the game, the Falcons announced that the veteran secondary player would be available to play against New Orleans.
The Falcons are up early on the Saints, 7-0, scoring on their first drive, a five-play, 71-yard series capped by a touchdown run from Atlanta running back Michael Turner.
