Despite having one of the league's best offenses in 2011, the Carolina Panthers have struggled this year. According to today's broadcast they're so bad on third down we have a mind-numbing statistic.
Panthers vs. Redskins: Astounding stat on Carolina third down
Carolina has a lot of money invested in the RB position, and for what?

The Fox announce team working today's game between the Carolina Panthers and Washington Redskins said that on third down Carolina's running backs have rushed for six yards … total … for the entire season. If you're keeping score at home, that's less than one yard per game. Even worse, the Panthers have sunk a total of $80 million in their RB position with DeAngelo Williams earning a contract extension in 2011, and Jonathan Stewart extended this offseason.
We’re sure this has nothing to do with the firing of general manager Marty Hurney earlier in the season, nothing at all.
