Ray Rice fantasy update: Ravens RB slowing down after fast start

After an early TD, Ray Rice is not finding much room to run.

After the Ravens’ first drive ended in a Ray Rice touchdown, it was looking like the Baltimore running back would be in for a huge day against the Browns. But a touchdown from change-of-pace back Bernard Pierce and increased intensity from Cleveland has Rice running into a wall of defenders, knocking his fantasy day from “potentially great” to “just okay.”

On Baltimore’s opening possession, Rice rushed for 32 yards and a score, and he picked up another 26 yards on the ensuing Ravens’ drive. After Pierce came in and took the score, Rice has just eight yards on three carries, as Baltimore has spent more time looking for yards through the air (with very little success).

The Ravens have had a habit of forgetting about their incredible playmaker in games this year, and that is typically when Baltimore goes on sustained scoring droughts.

Both Baltimore fans and Ray Rice fantasy owners are hoping John Harbaugh wakes up sooner rather than later and gets the do-it-all player more touches.
