NFC North injury report: Bryan Bulaga injures hip, Clay Matthews pulls hamstring in Packers victory

The Green Bay Packers suffered a pair of injuries during their Week 9 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE

The Green Bay Packers won their fourth straight game Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, but the Packers had two starters leave the game due to injury.

Offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga was knocked out of the game in the second quarter with a hip injury in Green Bay's 31-17 win over Arizona and was unable to return to the field. Just one quarter later, linebacker Clay Matthews left the game with an apparent hamstring, and the All-Pro was also unable to return. Both Bulaga and Matthews will take advantage of Green Bay's bye week before trying to return to action against the Detroit Lions in Week 11.

The Detroit Lions appeared to incur no new injuries during their 31-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the Lions have three players who could return to action next week after suffering lengthy injuries. Safeties Louis Delmas and Amari Spievey were both inactive Sunday due to knee and head injuries, but could return against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10. Linebacker DeAndre Levy has missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury, but could be back on the field if he shows enough progress in practice this week.

The Minnesota Vikings have two long-term injured players who could see the field against the Detriot Lions in Week 10. Safety Mistral Raymond has been out since Week 3 with an ankle injury and is questionable for the Vikings this week. Tight end John Carlson experienced concussion like symptoms in Week 7 and has been unable to play since.

The Chicago Bears were able to leave their Week 9 victory over the Tennessee Titans without any new injuries, and only have one long-term injury to worry about. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery broke his hand in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and was expected to miss the next four to six weeks.
