Colts-Patriots Week 11 game moved back to 4:25 p.m.

NFL announces that the Week 11 game between New England and Indianapolis will be moved back to a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff as a part of “flexible scheduling” to highlight games with playoff implications in the season’s final weeks.

As the NFL heads toward the postseason, the league as announced the first of its "flexible scheduling" moves, changing the Week 11 matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots from a 1 p.m. ET kickoff to a 4:25 p.m. ET start.

The flexible scheduling is in place from Week 11 through 17, giving the league the option to move games around in order to highlight games with playoff implications and “ensure quality matchups in all NFL Sunday time slots in those weeks,” according to a league notice. The flexibility also “give teams a chance to play their way onto primetime and into the late-afternoon 4:25 PM ET time slot on CBS and FOX.”

The Patriots and Colts both currently 5-3 on the season. New England is atop the AFC East, while Indianapolis is second in the AFC South behind the Houston Texans. Riding a three-game winning streak, the Colts would currently be in line for a wild card playoff berth.
