Following a tough loss on Monday night, Houston Texans blogger UprootedTexan is trying to look on the bright side. Over at the Battle Red Blog, he writes that Monday night was "a speed bump. Nothing more."
Texans vs. Patriots, Week 14: Houston fans will endure
The Texans suffered a 42-14 beating against the New England Patriots on Monday, but Houston fans are not discouraged.

Rather than dwelling on Matt Schaub's struggles or the porous defense, Texans fans are looking forward. In their final three weeks, the Texans will face the Indianapolis Colts twice and the Minnesota Vikings. UprootedTexan considers all three games winnable. At 11-2, Houston is still in position to be the top-seeded team in the AFC.
Believe it or not, there might even be some positives to be taken from the 42-14 rout. The Texans could have lost 58-0 like the Arizona Cardinals did. In addition, nobody was hurt. Basically, things could have been much worse.
Most of all, Monday can serve as a wake up call for Houston. There will be no coasting, because the Texans will have to play hard to ensure that they grab the No. 1 seed. Fans should not be dismayed. Instead, they should look to the encouraging words of UprootedTexan:
We will persevere.
We will endure.
We Are Texans!
