Kyle Rudolph always does his chores

The Vikings tight end gets the lawnmower started after scoring a touchdown against the Texans.

Hannah Foslien

We’ve written about Kyle Rudolph before. The tight end from Notre Dame has had a surprisingly good season despite the inconsistency of Christian Ponder and the lack of a deep threat with Percy Harvin on injured reserve. That said, Rudolph is a bright spot and a frequent red zone target for Ponder, and with all those touchdowns, he’s had the chance to bust out some pretty fun dances.

Side note: there’s something so inherently hardhat and blue collar about tight end dances. They lack the preplanned flash and panache of a running back or wide receiver, but they always find a way to bust out a strong spike, a jump in the crowd or a nostalgic classic.

So Rudolph, with his ninth score of the year, went with an old standby.

The lawnmower, which was heating up the interwebs already after Brent Musburger revved it up, is fun, but as I always say, you gotta make sure you prime it. Otherwise it might not start. And no one wants to pull their shoulder cranking up a lawnmower.

CORRECTION: We have been informed this is the ‘ice auger dance’ and was suggested to Rudolph on the 93X morning show. We apologize for the mistake, and please have a wonderful day.
