Buffalo Bills tight end Scott Chandler was placed on injured reserve Monday after suffering a torn ACL against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Buffalo tight end Scott Chandler will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL on Sunday.

Chandler was injured on just the second play of the game against the Dolphins. He went down after hauling in a 25-yard catch and was ruled out for the rest of the game shortly after. A MRI on Monday revealed the full extent of the injury. Chandler will not only miss Sunday's season finale against the New York Jets, but will likely miss the entire offseason as well as training camp and possibly the start of the regular season.
The 27-year-old Chandler started 13 games this season, posting career highs in receiving yards with 571 and receptions with 43. Both numbers are good for second on the Bills, trailing only Steve Johnson. At 6’7, Chandler has proven to be an effective red zone threat as he has hauled in 12 touchdowns over the last two seasons.
Chandler signed a two-year contract this past offseason and will enter the final year of the deal next season.
