Jim Harbaugh denies honking at Seahawks’ bus

Jim Harbaugh denied honking at the Seahawks’ bus following their game in October.

San Francisco head coach Jim Harbaugh denied the claim that he honked and waved at the Seahawks' team bus following the 49ers' 13-6 win in October.

After Seattle beat San Francisco, 42-13, on Sunday night, Seattle's Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman said the victory was a little sweeter, claiming Harbaugh honked and waved at the Seattle team bus in the stadium parking lot following the first meeting between the teams this season. Harbaugh called the claim a "fabrication," and said he wouldn't even be in his car at that time.

“I can’t think of a time when I’ve left the game and the other team’s still been there this entire season,” Harbaugh said, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Regardless of whether or not the claim is true, it’s just the latest addition to what is quickly becoming one of the best rivalries in the NFL. Harbaugh and Seattle head coach Pete Carroll have a history dating back to their days a college head coaches, and as David Fucillo of Niners Nation writes, that rivalry is quickly carrying over to the NFC West.

The whole thing is just another bit of nonsense to add to what is becoming a pretty intriguing rivalry. There is some heat between these two teams, no matter what the head coaches might otherwise say. Add in a pair of fan bases that don’t particularly like each other, and this is turning into one of the better rivalries in the NFL.
