The Jacksonville Jaguars placed three players on injured reserve Monday, ending their seasons one week early. Wide receiver Cecil Shorts, running back Rashad Jennings and linebacker Greg Jones are all done for the year.

Shorts, Jacksonville's leading receiver, was placed on injured reserve after suffering a concussion against the Patriots. It was the second concussion Shorts has suffered since Week 13. He ends the season with 55 receptions for 979 yards and seven touchdowns.

Jennings also dealt with concussion issues this season, but he heads to injured reserve due to a shoulder injury. He was thrust into the starting role when Maurice Jones-Drew missed time. Jennings finished with 283 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Jones, a backup linebacker and special teams contributor, fractured his leg against New England. He finished the season with four tackles while appearing in six games for Jacksonville. To fill the open roster spots, Jacksonville signed wide receiver Jerrell Jackson from the practice spot while claiming offensive lineman Mark Asper and tight end Allen Reisner off waivers from Minnesota.

The Jaguars have now placed 21 players on injured reserve this season.
