With their playoff hopes shot and their quarterback situation a national punchline, the New York Jets finish their season as underdogs against the Buffalo Bills.
Week 17 NFL odds: Jets vs. Bills
The New York Jets aren’t expected to finish a dismal season with a win, as they’re underdogs to the Buffalo Bills with Greg McElroy as their starting quarterback.

Even with the way their season has gone, it's somewhat surprising to see the Bills favored against the Jets. Buffalo is 5-10, and in the game between these teams way back in Week 1, the Jets rolled to a 48-28 victory. While New York has a two-game losing streak, Buffalo has a three-game losing streak, with losses to the St. Louis Rams and Miami Dolphins, neither of whom are world-beaters. But this is a much different Jets team than the one that the Bills played way back in September: Greg McElroy is the starting quarterback, and last week against the San Diego Chargers, the offensive line allowed 11 sacks. Since a bye week halfway through the season, the Jets have only scored 20 points once.
With that in mind, Buffalo is favored by 3 1/2 points heading into Sunday’s game. The Jets have won six straight against Buffalo and five out of six against the spread, but both teams are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games.
