Jordy Nelson injury: Packers WR unlikely to play Week 14

Green Bay will most likely be without one of its top receivers Sunday.

Rich Schultz

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson is unlikely to play Sunday against the Detroit Lions, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Nelson left Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings in the first quarter with a hamstring injury. He did not return.

Nelson caught one pass for 10 yards before leaving the game Sunday.

Nelson, 27, has been one of the Packers’ most productive receivers this season. He’s caught 46 passes for 658 yards and six touchdowns this season. He’s started nine of 11 games so far.

The second-round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft is coming off the best season of his career in 2011. Nelson was one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite targets, catching 68 passes for 1,263 yards. He hauled in 15 receiving touchdowns and averaged nearly 19 yards per catch.

Only Randall Cobb has more receiving yards for the Packers this season than Nelson. Cobb, 22, has caught 64 passes for 675 yards and seven touchdowns.
