Patriots re-sign Donte Stallworth, according to report
The New England Patriots re-signed Donte Stallworth on Monday.

The Patriots signed Stallworth during the offseason but released him in the final wave of roster cuts. He also played for New England during the 2007 season. Monday’s signing comes less than a week after Stallworth worked out for the Patriots.
After being released by New England, Stallworth also had a free agent try out with the Buffalo Bills. His signing should help bolster a thin Patriots receiving corps. The Patriots have played much of this season with just four wide receivers on the active roster. In addition, all four current receivers have been limited in practice by injuries recently.
While he will likely be rusty from being out of football, Stallworth should immediately provide a deep threat as he showed he still has elite speed during the preseason. Stallworth has 320 receptions for 4,774 yards and 34 touchdowns during his 10-year career.
