NFC North injury report, Week 17: Randall Cobb likely to return for playoffs

The Green Bay Packers are definitely the more banged-up of the two NFC North teams still alive, but Randall Cobb should be back for their Wild Card match-up against the Minnesota Vikings.

Cobb sat with a few knee and leg injuries but expected throughout the whole week that he'd be able to play in the playoffs. Two running backs are also looking to come back for the playoffs. With team rushing leader Alex Green and backup James Starks out, the team turned to DuJuan Harris, who had 70 yards in the 37-34 loss to the Vikings Week 17. Green has missed the last two games with a concussion, but will be able to play if he passes the requisite tests, while Starks has been out for four weeks with a knee injury. Both players are questionable going forward.

Defensive end Jerel Worthy and wide receiver Jarrett Boykin both had to be carted off the field with knee and ankle injuries, but Worthy is a backup and Boykin was only playing because of injuries to Cobb and Jordy Nelson. Their statuses going forward are unclear. Nelson returned to the game eventually.

Charles Woodson has been out since Oct. 21 with a broken collarbone, but could be cleared for the playoff game. Fellow defensive back Davon House missed Week 17 with a shoulder injury, but he could also return.

For the Vikings, the injury report is much cleaner: its essentially just Antoine Winfield, who played the first half against the Packers with a broken hand but later sat. If he wasn't ready to go in a do-or-die elimination game, he may not be ready for a playoff game. His status is questionable.
