Cardinals defensive lineman Darnell Dockett was reportedly fined $200,000 for his on-the-field altercation in Arizona's 7-6 loss to the New York Jets this past Sunday, according to Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910, and confirmed by Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic. The amount was reported by Albert Breer of the NFL Network.

The Cardinals made DE Darnell Dockett pay a hefty price after his unfavorable actions on the field towards the end of last Sunday’s loss to the Jets, per multiple reports.

Dockett reportedly got in a fight with teammate Kerry Rhodes near the end of last weekend's game after the safety wanted to purposely allow New York to score so Arizona's offense could get the ball back. Jurecki is also hearing that Dockett could have a limited role against the Seahawks when the Cardinals head up to Seattle this Sunday.
With the frustration of eight straight losses likely palpable in the locker room, this looks like head coach Ken Whisenhunt’s way of restoring order and sending a message to the rest of his players. Dockett has excelled this season for the Cardinals, racking up 31 tackles and two sacks, but clearly the team won’t stand for this sort of dissenting action.
According to the Washington Post, Dockett has already apologized to Rhodes for what he described as a “very heated argument.”
