Meanwhile, Washington is riding high after beating all three of the other teams in the NFC East in back-to-back-to-back weeks, culminating in Monday night's 17-16 win over the New York Giants. The turning point might have been a bye Week 10: The Redskins went into their week off with a three-game losing streak, and Robert Griffin III has helped the team rattle off three straight wins since. Griffin is the toast of the NFL, completing over 60 percent of his passes in his last three games, tossing nine touchdowns against only one interception.
The two squads last played in 2008, although they have met several times in preseason games.
