Bengals to hold moment of silence for Cowboys’ Jerry Brown

The Cincinnati Bengals will hold a moment of silence for Jerry Brown before Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cincinnati Bengals will hold a moment of silence prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. game in Cincinnati against the Dallas Cowboys in honor of Jerry Brown, the Dallas linebacker who was killed in a car accident Saturday, according to Kareem Copeland of the NFL Network.

Brown was a passenger in a vehicle driven by teammate Josh Brent. Brent's vehicle reportedly hit a curb and flipped. Brent was arrested for driving while intoxicated and involuntary manslaughter.

Brown and Brent both attended the University of Illinois and Brent, who was in his third season after being a seventh-round draft choice in 2010, reportedly lobbied to help get Brown an opportunity with the Cowboys.

Ian Rappaport from NFL.com talked to their former coach at Illinois, Ron Zook:
