Adrian Peterson Injury Update: Vikings RB To Start Running Soon

Minnesota Vikings superstar running back Adrian Peterson suffered a torn ACL and MCL in December that required surgery. He is already on the road to recovery and the Vikings are hoping that he will be ready to go when the season kicks off.

Tim Yotter at Scout.com reports that Peterson appeared on a local radio station on Friday morning and relayed positive news about his rehab.

“I’m definitely making improvement. I’m starting to get my muscle tone and strength back into the legs,” Peterson told Paul Allen on KFAN. “I’m happy with the progress I’ve made so far. I’m extremely happy.”

Peterson believes he will start running on Feb. 28. Certainly good news for the Vikings and their fans. Peterson has led all NFL rushers in yardage since 2007 and the team is hoping he will come back in 2012 and continue to be an impact player.
