Tom Brady is the odds on favorite to take home MVP honors at the 2012 Super Bowl.

Prop bets are arguably the best thing about the Super Bowl, and this year's matchup between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants gives us the option to gamble our money on whether or not Madonna will be wearing a hat at halftime, among other things. Who will win Most Valuable Player honors is easily the most debated of these technically meaningless distinctions.

This year, Tom Brady enters the Super Bowl as a 7/5 favorite to take home MVP honors, followed by Eli Manning with 9/4 odds. Though quarterbacks, unsurprisingly, have an advantage by virtue of touching the ball on every offensive snap, wide receivers have managed to win MVP in three of the last seven Super Bowls. Victor Cruz leads all others in that regard at 8/1, followed by Hakeem Nicks and Wes Welker at 12/1 and Rob Gronkowski at 14/1 odds.

Vegas is not giving much credit to the running backs. Ahmad Bradshaw and BenJarvus Green-Ellis were given 20/1 and 30/1 odds, respectively. If you think defense is going to play a major role in Sunday's game, then Giants' sackmaster Jason Pierre-Paul may be your man. He has the highest odds of any defender to take home MVP honors at 25/1.

So what do you think, who is your most valuable player?
