The San Francisco 49ers and Randy Moss have agreed to a one-year deal to bring the 35-year-old wide receiver out of retirement to the Bay Area, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Once upon a time, Moss was the league's most dangerous deep threat and is still the single-season record holder for receiving touchdowns. He last played in 2010 with the Tennessee Titans, after getting cut midseason by the Minnesota Vikings.

Randy Moss and the 49ers have reportedly agreed to a one-year contract that would give the 35-year-old wideout a chance to win his first Super Bowl ring.
Moss worked out for the Saints earlier in the offseason, and reportedly "looked like old Randy," tearing up the field. He worked out for the 49ers Monday morning, and head coach Jim Harbaugh apparently liked what he saw enough to give the go-ahead to sign Moss, who is still seeking the first Super Bowl ring of his career. Niners backup running back Anthony Dixon, an admitted Moss admirer growing up, was impressed with the tall receiver in workouts, according to the San Francisco Chronicle:
Dixon, naturally, thought Moss “looked good” during his workout this morning in Santa Clara. During the portion of the session Dixon witnessed, Moss ran slants, outs, curls and go routes, catching passes delivered by coach Jim Harbaugh.
Would Dixon want Moss as a teammate based on what he saw?
“Definitely,” he said. “That’s Randy, man. You’ve got to account for him when he’s on the field. Everybody knows that.”
Update: The Associated Press has confirmed the agreement between Moss and the 49ers.
