The Seattle Seahawks are hoping for a break-out season from promising young wide receiver Golden Tate, but that's going to have to wait a little while, at least during offseason work, as Tate has broken his hand. Tate is expected to return in time for training camp, according to Mike Sando of ESPN.

Receiver Golden Tate has a broken hand and is not practicing. The team expects Tate to return for training camp. Seattle has high expectations for Tate this season, so the missed time is costly in the short term, especially since the lockout prevented him from practicing last offseason as well.

Tate was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the second-round of the 2010 NFL Draft and has progressed each season for the Seahawks. The team is expecting Tate to make that big leap in his third season, but it’s going to have to wait until his hand heals up. Tate finished last season with 35 receptions and 382 yards, starting in five games.
