Matt Hasselbeck is still the favorite to start at quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, according to ESPN's Paul Kuharsky. The Titans drafted Jake Locker out of Washington with the No. 8 overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft, but Kuharsky believes head coach Mike Munchak still prefers what Hasselbeck brings to the locker room in terms of veteran leadership.
Matt Hasselbeck Early Favorite To Be Titans Starter In Week 1
Matt Hasselbeck remains the early favorite to start at quarterback over Jake Locker for the Titans this season, according to reports.

Coach Mike Munchak has said he thinks as things unfold the decision will be obvious. I believe, ultimately, it will take one of three things for Locker to get the starting job:
- A tremendous training camp and preseason paired with poor play by Hasselbeck.
- An injury to Hasselbeck.
- A gut feeling from Munchak and offensive coordinator Chris Palmer that it's time to turn to the QB of the future.
Locker is still considered the future of the team, and the young quarterback hasn’t indicated publicly that he is at all unhappy with serving backup role at the moment. Whether fans stay as level-headed remains to be seen.
