Justin Blackmon Expected To Meet With Jaguars Coaches After DUI Arrest

The Jacksonville Jaguars haven't said much of anything after their 1st round pick Justin Blackmon was arrested for aggravated DUI after being pulled over on Sunday morning with a .24 BAC. Blackmon was in Oklahoma at the time of the arrest but he's on his way back to Jacksonville to meet with the Jaguars, according to 47 Action News.

I spoke with the Jaguars Monday afternoon. They tell me that Blackmon is on his way to Jacksonville and will meet with general manager Gene Smith and head coach Mike Mularkey. The Jaguars say that once they talk with Blackmon in person they will be able to comment on his arrest.

This is the second DUI in the last two years for Blackmon. Because of the prior history this has to concern the Jaguars, who undoubtedly researched Blackmon’s past before trading up for him in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Blackmon pleaded not guilty at a Monday court hearing. His next court date comes in late July, shortly before the Jags training camp starts.
