Wade Davis never came out while he was playing football for the Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, or the Washington Redskins. Now, Amy K. Nelson sits down to hear about his story of coming out as a former NFL athlete.
Now, at age 34 and retired, Davis is not only telling his story at-length for the first time publicly to our sister site, Outsports.com, he also sat down with me to talk about his life; first as a closeted football player, then post-football, which includes his work with at-risk gay youth and also campaigning for President Obama.
