With just roughly a week until NFL training camps open up for the 2012 season, this is the time of year when players typically only make the news for contracts and arrests. In what seem like a slew of arrests the past few weeks, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt adds his name to the hat. The former first-round pick was arrested for a DUI, according to a report by 104.5 The Zone in Nashville, Ten.

The radio station indicated that both Britt and teammate Tommie Campbell were in the car with a female soldier and were stopped at the gate re-entering the base.

Britt’s arrest makes for 27 arrests since the Super Bowl and eight total arrests for Kenny Britt since he was drafted by the Titans in the 2009 NFL Draft. Britt missed most of the 2011 season with a knee injury.

The Titans released the standard comment on the Britt situation:

“We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering more facts.”
