Lions’ Aaron Berry Arrested For Second Time In A Month

The Detroit Lions are probably really looking forward to training camp.

Already tied to sixth arrests this offseason, the team's cornerback Aaron Berry was arrested early Saturday morning for the second time this July, this time for allegedly brandishing a firearm in Harrisburg, Pa.

According to a Harrisburg Police captain, via the Detroit Free Press, Berry was charged with three counts of simple assault “and there was a firearm involved.”

In June, Berry was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in which he also allegedly hit four parked cars and refused a breathalyzer test.

As a result of that arrest, Berry was set to sign up for a program that could have expunged those charges from his record, but after his latest incident on Saturday morning, it’s likely that deal may no longer be an option.

This has been an offseason marred with bad news for the Lions franchise. In addition to Berry's now two arrests, Mikel Leshoure and Nick Fairely have been booked for separate charges pertaining to DUI and marijuana possession.
