The Miami Dolphins have a challenge before them heading into 2012. The AFC East is home to the AFC's Super Bowl representative, a Jets team that is still gunning for the playoffs, and a rapidly improving Bills team. The Dolphins' biggest addition in the 2012 NFL offseason? Ryan Tannehill.
Miami Dolphins Start Training Camp Thursday, July 26
Tannehill, Miami's first round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, isn't even a shoo-in to take the starting quarterback job from Day One. That's because the Fish have a few different options at QB, with Tannehill, David Garrard, and incumbent starter Matt Moore all still on the roster.
Whoever does win the job may be a bit disappointed by the talent around him. Reggie Bush will be looking to match his career year from 2011, but Brandon Marshall is in Chicago now and 34-year-old Chad Ochocinco isn't much of a replacement for him. Having a rookie like Lamar Miller, Michael Egnew, or Jeff Fuller (Tannehill's college teammate) step up in training camp would be a huge help.
