The New York Giants made a second unlikely run to a Super Bowl title in five years in 2011. Can Eli Manning and the ferocious Big Blue pass rush repeat in 2012? Adding a few new pieces to the mix on offense might help.
New York Giants Training Camp Kicks Off Thursday
The Giants lost Super Bowl hero Mario Manningham to the 49ers, but Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz make a terrific pair of wideouts, draft pick Reuben Randle could be a nice pick-up, and new acquisition Martellus Bennett gives Manning what could be a very good tight end. What's more, David Wilson at halfback replaces the lumbering Brandon Jacobs with some lightning that could pair well with Ahmad Bradshaw.
On defense, the Giants settled for not messing up a good thing. Jason Pierre-Paul enters his third year as one of the league's premier pass rushers, and heads up a deep line, while simply coming into training camp with more healthy players in the secondary should make covering up for any lapses in pressure much less difficult in 2012.
