The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed center Max Unger to a new multi-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Seattle Times’ Danny O’Neil is reporting that the re-signing will make Unger one of the highest-paid centers in the NFL.

Seattle drafted Unger in the second round of the 2009 NFL draft out of the University of Oregon as a right guard. And he was immediately productive, earning the starting right guard spot before moving over to center last season.

With a reputation for being a great clubhouse guy and hard worker, Unger will anchor a developing Seahawks offensive line that may need to deal with a quarterback controversy during training camp. Newly signed QB Matt Flynn is expected to split reps with incumbent starter Tarvaris Jackson, but with Jackson likely to get most of the work with the team's No. 1 offense.
