Bryant has not played in the NFL since the 2009 season. He signed with Cincinnati in 2010, but was released prior to the start of the season due to injury. He participated in the the Seahawks’ June mini-camp, but left without a contract. Following his tryout, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told the Seattle Times Bryant was not in football shape.
“He’s not in very good shape, but he’s very natural,” Carroll said. “He’s got terrific instincts for catching the football and getting in and out of breaks.”
If Bryant is able to make the Seahawks' regular season roster, it would be his fifth team in eight NFL seasons. Bryant began his career with the Dallas Cowboys and has 372 receptions for 5,685 yards in his career.
