Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Kiante Tripp was arrested Tuesday in Atlanta on burglary charges. He is accused of ransacking an apartment and threatening the people inside.
According to investigators, the three involved in the incident were looking for a man who had stolen money from them. Neighbors called the police, saying that men with guns were inside the apartment.
Tripp, now entering his second season with the Browns, hasn't yet had much of an impact in the NFL. He appeared in just three games during the 2011 season, and recorded one tackle. Tripp was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Atlanta Falcons following the 2011 NFL Draft. He played for the Georgia Bulldogs in college.
There is no word yet whether any punishment will be handed down by the Browns or the NFL.
