Jeff Demps just won a silver medal at the London Olympics in the 4x100 meter relay. Now that the Olympics are over, he’s refocusing on football. He has filed the necessary paperwork to be signed by a team in the NFL, according to Ian Rapoport.

Demps played college football for the Florida Gators, and was a speedy runner, averaging 5.8 yards per carry his senior season on 98 carries. While that was down from his output of 7.8 yards per carry his freshman year, Demps still scored six touchdowns for Florida last season.

With Demps now a free agent, there could be quite a few teams that could be interested in signing the running back. Speed is something that all teams could use and will make him quite an asset to be signed by just about any team.
