Tuesday night on “Hard Knocks,” America was gripped by the sight of Chad Johnson, in his favorite house shoes, being released by the obviously uncomfortable Joe Philbin. It wasn’t the first time someone’s gotten fired on the HBO documentary, but it was certainly the most memorable.
‘Hard Knocks’ Still Worth Watching, Even Without Chad Johnson
The Dolphins wrote out the biggest star of this season’s “Hard Knocks” before episode 3. What’s left? Lauren Tannehill and Les Brown, the Little Engine That Could Be A Great Storyline. And Lauren Tannehill.

But since that’s done, what in the world is left to see from the Dolphins? Beyond Johnson, there weren’t that many individual reasons to watch this season. Hell, if shots from preseason games are any indication, the people of South Florida don’t even want to watch this team.
But we will. To assist, “Bomani & Jones” has found five things worth watching for on “Hard Knocks” until the regular season starts. And by “five,” we mean “barely five.” This could be the longest training camp ever ... for those of us watching others work their hardest while we sit on our couches.
