Adrian Peterson Acknowledges He ‘Came Back Quicker Than Normal’

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson s taking part in team practices and trying to do everything he did before his horrible knee injury last season.

While there are those who feel Peterson is coming back from torn knee ligaments too quickly, including Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, Peterson admits that he is back to action faster than expected. Here are his comments on his return to radio station KFAN in Minneapolis:

“People are different. People heal differently, people bounce back and recover differently from different injuries. And it’s just one of those cases where I’ve just been working hard, been blessed and God’s been covering me. And I just came back quicker than normal. So it’s hard for people to kind of fathom that and believe that, but it is what it is. So I don’t worry about that -- I just keep my mind stuck on my vision and my goals, and everything else will work itself out.”

Peterson dismissed Rice’s statement, and is focused on cutting and looks forward to getting hit. He added that his coaches tell him to “run in a straight line,” but he disregards the advice.
