Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Manny Lawson left Thursday night's preseason game vs. the Green Bay Packers with an apparent groin injury.
Manny Lawson Injured In Bengals-Packers Preseason Game
Lawson is the second key Bengals' LB to suffer an injury during the preseason, as Rey Maualuga injured his knee in Cincinnati's victory over the New York Jets on Aug. 10.
Lawson started 15 out of the 16 games in which he appeared for the Bengals in 2011, recording 34 tackles, four pass deflections and 1.5 sacks. Prior to last season, he spent five years playing for the San Francisco 49ers. His best season came in 2009, when he accumulated 49 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
The Bengals play one more preseason game -- in Indianapolis vs. the Colts on Thursday, Aug. 30 -- before kicking off the regular season on the road vs. the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 10.
