Entering the third week of the preseason, the quarterback battle in Seattle still hasn't resulted in a starter being named, although the battle is beginning to take its final shape. With Tarvaris Jackson seemingly out of the competition altogether, only Matt Flynn and Russell Wilson remain in the competition for the starting position.
Seahawks Vs. Chiefs: Game Time, TV Schedule, Odds And More
The Seahawks and Chiefs will play in a Week 3 preseason battle at Arrowhead Stadium.
Flynn started each of the first two preseason games and, while he hasn't done too much to excite the team, he hasn't done much to disappoint, either. Wilson, though, has done much better with nearly double the QB rating of Flynn, but has done so against second-team defenses. However, Wilson will be getting his big chance on Friday as he has been named the starter for the Seahawks.
The designation doesn’t mean he’s a shoo-in to be the starter when the Seahawks kick off the season in week one, but if he plays like he has in the first two games on Friday night, he very well could be.
For the Chiefs, Week 3 of the preseason represents little difference than the first two games, although this will be the game that features Dwayne Bowe's return to the lineup, after a lengthy holdout that the former-Pro Bowl receiver finally decided to end by signing his franchise tender.
