Jets’ Wildcat Plans Remain A Secret

If the New York Jets plan on running the Wildcat this season, they’re not telling anyone about it.

If the New York Jets plan to run the Wildcat formation this season -- considering they've added Tim Tebow in the offseason -- they're not telling anyone about it.

It's a reasonable assumption, however, with the personnel they've added -- Tebow and offensive coordinator Tony Sparano, who ran the formation as head coach of the Miami Dolphins -- the Jets will run the Wildcat at some point this year. But until someone from the team actually confirms or it's seen on the field, no one really knows.

And the Jets won’t discuss it according to an NJ.com report, with the reason behind the secrecy and silence being a strategic one:

“For me to go there and put something out on the field and give somebody a month to prepare for it, I mean, a month,” Sparano said. “Again, I mean no disrespect but you guys (reporters) can figure that out in a month. I might have a chance to figure your job out in a month, okay? It’s a month.”
