Titans’ Kenny Britt Suspended 1 Game, According To Report

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt has been suspended for one game by the NFL, according to a report from Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean.

Britt was arrested for DUI late last month in just the latest incident for the troubled player, who has had eight run-ins with law enforcement since he was drafted in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft. Britt was arrested at Fort Campbell, Ky., as he was trying to enter the military base in a car with a female soldier and teammate Tommie Campbell.

Britt has battled injuries over the past year, undergoing three knee surgeries since last October, and was only removed from the team's physically unable to perform list on Wednesday. If available, Britt was only expected to play a minor role in the Titans' season opener against the New England Patriots on Sept 9, 2012, but the suspension rules that out. He'll be eligible to return when the Titans head west to take on the San Diego Chargers in Week 2.
