The NFL will induct former Pittsburgh Steelers center Dermontti Dawson into the NFL Hall Of Fame on Saturday afternoon in Canton, Ohio. Dawson played on the offensive line for the Steelers from 1988-2000, playing in 184 games in his 13-year career.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers great, center Dermontti Dawson, will be inducted into the NFL Hall Of Fame on Saturday afternoon.

Dawson was drafted by the Steelers in the 1988 NFL Draft in the second-round out of Kentucky and began his NFL career at right guard, eventually taking over for Hall of Fame center Mike Webster in his second season with the team. Dawson also doubled as the Steelers’ long snapper until 1993.
During his career, Dawson had a streak of 170 consecutive games before it was snapped in the 1999 season due to a hamstring injury. Dawson made seven consecutive Pro-Bowls from 1993-1999 and was selected to the NFL’s All-Pro team in six consecutive years from 1993-1998.
