John Skelton Injury Could Be Costly For Cardinals

According to Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic, Arizona Cardinals quarterback John Skelton could miss several weeks with a right ankle injury.

Skelton injured the ankle during the Cardinals' 20-16 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Somers states that the Cardinals were relieved when initial tests showed that Skelton had a sprain and not a fracture in the ankle. But if it's a high ankle sprain, Skelton could miss several weeks.

This puts the Cardinals in a bind. They could add another quarterback, but it looks like they'll stick with the two they have remaining on the roster -- Kevin Kolb and Ryan Lindley -- and gamble.

The decisions are all up in the air at the moment, until the timetable for Skelton’s return is firmly set early this week.
