John Skelton's ankle injury has the Arizona Cardinals calling around to see what quarterbacks might be available to bring in, according to a tweet from Adam Caplan.
John Skelton’s Injury Has Cardinals Seeking Other QB Options
There are a few big names still looking for work out there that could be a possibility for the Cardinals. David Garrard and Vince Young are both available after being released by their respective teams during the offseason.
Skelton's injury leaves the Cardinals with only two quarterbacks on the roster, Kevin Kolb and Ryan Lindley. The Cardinals had considered gambling and just going with the two quarterbacks but they appear to have changed their minds and want to bring another quarterback into the mix.
Skelton could miss several weeks if it is determined that his ankle injury is a high ankle sprain. Skelton had beaten out Kolb for the starting quarterback position.
