Ed Reed’s Injury Isn’t Serious

Ed Reed's right hamstring injury, which forced the 34-year-old to leave the Baltimore Ravens' 44-13 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals early Monday, is being regarded as not serious, The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson is reporting. Reed said after the game the injury was minor and joked it was just a instance of Father Time for catching up with him.

Reed suffered the injury while diving into the end zone on a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown that helped give the Ravens a 34-13 lead with 13 seconds remaining in the third quarter. After the dive, the 11-year veteran was seen stretching out his leg before heading to the locker room.

The 5’11, 205-pound safety, who collected his 58th career interception, was not seen on the playing field for the rest of the game.
