Following a stellar debut as the quarterback of the Washington Redskins, Robert Griffin III headlines the list of rookies vying for Rookie of the Week. With a 139.9 quarterback rating on Sunday that included two touchdowns and 320 yards passing, RGIII is the clear favorite to win the award against a field that includes Stephen Hill, Chandler Jones, Doug Martin and Blair Walsh.
RGIII Headlines Player Of The Week Voting
Robert Griffin III is nominated for both the Rookie of the Week and FedEx Air Player of the Week awards after a strong NFL debut in Week 1.

Each of the five players were on winning teams on Sunday, including Walsh, a Vikings kicker selected in the sixth round who kicked four field goals -- including a 55-yarder at the end of a regulation to tie the game, then later the 38-yard game-winner -- in a 26-23 victory. Other than Walsh, each of the four other players were selected in the top 50 picks of the 2012 NFL Draft.
RGIII also earned the nomination for FedEx Air Player of the Week, where he will have to beat out Matt Ryan and Tony Romo for the award. Romo and Ryan each threw one touchdown more than RGIII, but neither eclipsed him in passing or rushing yards.
Frank Gore, Stevan Ridley and C.J. Spiller each earned nominations for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week award with Spiller easily dominating the stat-lines. The Bills' running back leads the NFL in rushing after he ran for 169 yards on 14 carries, including two runs of more than 40 yards and a touchdown.
