With Matt Forte injured, the Chicago Bears are reportedly bringing in former Texans third round pick Steve Slaton for a workout. Slaton was one of the nation's most explosive runners at West Virginia before leaving for the NFL after his junior season. Slaton spent his first three seasons in the league with the Texans, and started with them in 2011 as well.
Steve Slaton Works Out For Bears, According To Reports
The Chicago Bears need depth after Matt Forte’s injury, so they are taking a look at Steve Slaton.


He was claimed off of waivers by the Miami Dolphins on September 28, 2011 and played three games for the Dolphins last season. He was released by Miami after training camp at the start of the season.
For his career, Forte has amassed 442 carries for 1,896 yards and fourteen touchdowns. He’s also a receiving threat out of the backfield, having caught 99 balls for an additional 809 yards and five scores.
