Trent Richardson was rightly shaking off some dust in last week's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He hadn't practiced much due to a preseason knee surgery and jumped into game action anyway. Despite a couple of nice plays, he lacked the burst we were so used to seeing at Alabama.
Trent Richardson Rolling Against Bengals
That’s not the case today. Richardson scored his second touchdown of the day (and of his NFL career) on this screen pass, slipping through a couple of tackles and willing his way in the endzone with power.
TRich made a habit of breaking tackles on the Crimson Tide, but told CBS commentators the NFL is a bit different with everyone being so strong and so fast, and he needs to get lower on his runs. Looks like he is taking his own advice. The Browns trail the Bengals, 24-17, but Cleveland behind Richardson finally is starting to resemble an NFL offense.
